The platform

Orbit

Mission intelligence for autonomous fleets. Orbit is where a mission is designed, proven in Unreal Engine against a model of the real site, and dispatched to vehicles, without a specialist for every step.

The unit of work is the mission, not the aircraft. One operator composes it once and runs it across a fleet, every shift, on any MAVLink vehicle.

What it does

Orbit is not a prototype. These run end to end in our own environment today, not on a roadmap.

Design

Missions are graphs, not code. Phases, branching logic, AI triggers, and multi-robot coordination compose in one visual editor over a JSON mission language, and the agent can draft the whole thing from a plain description. Edit a node, not a codebase.

Plan

Draw a region and get grid search, perimeter, or orbit coverage with live preview. Routes respect no-fly zones, follow roads where it helps, and raise collision warnings against real building data.

Simulate

One click provisions a cloud session with a fleet in it, flying in Unreal Engine against a model of the real site with Gazebo running the physics and the same MAVLink stack the vehicles run. Teardown is automatic.

Perceive

Detection, segmentation, and pose tracking run inside the mission loop, with camera feeds streaming to the operator view as the mission runs. Teaching it a new object takes about 100 annotated images. A live 3D map builds as vehicles fly, roughly a second behind reality.

Execute

A mission dispatches from the planner to the executor and runs to completion without hand-holding. Vehicle state flows back into the graph, so an operator watches node states rather than raw logs.

Deploy safely

Nothing arms until it passes its checks: GPS lock, a settled position estimate, and a healthy link to the ground. A kill switch stays one click away for the whole mission. Every change re-runs a suite that deliberately breaks these things, and a change that fails does not ship.

Offload

The heavy work does not run on the aircraft. Computer vision, 3D mapping, and mission intelligence run in the cloud and stream back on demand, so a 250g drone and a laptop get capability the airframe could never carry.

Agent and templates

Missions are composable, not one-offs. Describe one in plain language and the agent drafts the graph, or load a template and point it at a new site. The agent reaches every part of the platform, mission design and simulation through to fine-tuning.

DJI fleet support

Orbit speaks MAVLink today, which covers our own hardware alongside PX4 and ArduPilot vehicles. Support for DJI enterprise fleets is coming, so operators can run Orbit missions on the aircraft they already own.

Access

Orbit runs at app.prxptn.com. It is in private preview: accounts are approved individually while we work closely with a small number of early operators.
